Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry
Welcome
Psychiatry undoubtedly has a checkered past. Although much improved, our current understanding of what ails us biologically, psychologically, socioemotionally, and remains limited. In this landscape, choosing a clinician to care for your or your family’s psychiatric needs can be especially delicate.
And so, I’d like to get a sense of what’s been on your mind to see if we are a good fit for each other. Click on the New Patient Inquiry below to get started. I provide diagnostic psychiatric evaluations and if indicated, treatment with medications and psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults on an outpatient basis.
In addition to completing medical school and general adult residency, I completed sub-specialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry to better serve patients across the lifespan for a multitude of psychiatric concerns.
Services
Medication Management
Medications can be a helpful tool for many psychiatric conditions. Together we’ll discuss risks, benefits, notable side effects, and alternatives. Working with me does not mean you must take medications— it simply means I can offer this as a treatment option.
Sometimes medication management means taking away or de-prescribing medications that no longer appear to serve you. There are many things to take into account when making this step— let’s work together to find the safest option for you.
Therapy
Psychotherapy or talk therapy is a special interest of mine. There are many types of therapies out there. Rather than getting lost in acronyms, perhaps we can approach with open and curious minds about how best to co-create a safe space to explore your inner self. Though I often weave in helpful concepts from a variety of therapeutic modalities, my approach is psychodynamic/psychoanalytic in nature.
Telemedicine
I offer both in person appointments at my Newport Beach office and telemedicine appointments, with a preference to hold our first meeting in person. Telemedicine is provided via a confidential and HIPPA-compliant video conferencing service that is accessible through the patient portal.

FAQs
-
I am not contracted with any insurance companies at this time and therefore considered an "out of network provider." If you are interested in submitting a superbill, please first check with your insurance carrier to see if your plan includes “out-of-network” benefits. I can then provide a superbill for services rendered that you can submit for (partial) reimbursement. Please contact your insurance company for additional information about your specific health plan.

Payment is due at the time of service. Accepted payment types include credit/debit card through a 3rd party secure patient portal, cash, or check. I do not store credit card information.
Fees vary based on type and length of appointment. Additional time is set aside for pediatric evaluations to allow for time to meet with the child and parent(s) separately and billed accordingly.
